Frame reworks get maybe 3 hotfixes then arent touched again, plains of eidolon hasnt had any new content to make it more than a dead lifeless plain, archwing was simply left after the flight changes which made it feel even worse than before, and kubrows have still got dna that messed up loyalty system that was scrapped for the cats. I didnt like the look of the railjack combat either to be honest, the ship looked like even at max speed it was ridiculously slow, the fact enemies could board you while you were moving and in the middle of a dogfight or whatever made no sense. So, if nothing else, Railjack has a hell of a lot of passion behind it. If you compare the Archwing trailer with the Railjack reveal, the animation for entering the Fomorian and the Obelisk were damn near identical, indicating that they've wanted to do this for a while. It's been said that this was the original vision for Warframe - and presumably Archwing is a part of that. You can even see loadout stations, a foundry and what looks suspiciously like a starmap in the railjack reveal, so even if it's unlikely that Starmap-style missions will disappear entirely, you should be able to launch them from your 'jack. The Orbiter's probably not going anywhere as it's heavily implemented into all the Cinematic quests, and people have put more than a little plat into decorating them, and it'd probably also be troublesome logging in mid-mission as it were. ![]() Steve confirmed on his twitter a while back that the aim is to have anything you can do on the Orbiter be doable from the Railjack - so that in theory once you get aboard the entire game is available to you. ![]() Sigma Series Rail Jack > Orbiter > Archwing > On-foot Missions and everywhere in between. Take these big ships with Arch-wing and the rest of the game and help to make all the parts sync together to make a living galaxy. Similar to what we were promised with Solar Rails all those years ago. Intertwined with other players, planets and relays. Rails jack becomes a transportation and higher tier of battle for the game. Unless they incorporate Rail Jack as a core mechanic of the game it most likely will be a quick burner.īy incorporate I mean allowing further than on-rails shooting. ![]()
